In the two sessions, which took place on April 1st and April 2nd, attendees from all over the region tackled issues such as privacy, new cooperative business model and copyright.

Zambia: Minister Threatens Editors of Online Watchdog with Treason Charge

A Zambian government minister has allegedly threatened to arrest the editors of the online citizen media newspaper, Zambian Watchdog. The minister is also said to have threatened to charge the editors with treason, a capital crime in Zambia, punishable by death.

Anonymous Twitter Account Leads Major Protests in Kuwait

Tens of thousands showed up in the areas of Mishref and Sabah Al-Salem protesting the Kuwaiti Amir's amendment of the voting law which allows a citizen to vote for one candidate instead of four. What is interesting though is that an anonymous Twitter account is the one deciding dates of marches and meeting points.
