		<description>Excellent and very balanced post, Hamid.  Another importnat aspect of closing the gap with the rest of the world is the personalities of some of the people tweeting from Iran; for those following along on Twitter, you get a very strong feel for who they are -- and some of the ways in which we&#039;re similar, as well as our differences.  This creates much stronger emotional connections.  The levels of concern when well-known tweeters are quiet for a while are good examples of this.

One other topic to mention: the disinformation intentionally being spread via Twitter.  In general this gets noticed and debunked relatively quickly; there&#039;s even a site identifying tweeters believed to be engaging in this.
