Blogger kickdefella, who was arrested for seeking the public to post the Malaysian national flag upside-down, has had his bail extended to Nov 21. Kickdefella, or Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, was arrested on Sept 17 was freed three days later on police bail.

He was called in by the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to have his bail extended yesterday. Syed Azidi told journalists that the police apparently needed more time for investigations, and will confirm, when his extended bail expires, if he will be charged or not. Syed Azidi said:

I don’t know why they have to extend the bail, everything they need to know is there in my posting. It is quite unnecessary… This is definitely politically motivated. However the police are just doing their job and follow instructions and I don’t blame them… It’s their superior that is doing this. They are trying to place a psychological hindrance…

The blogger, however, emphasised that his treatment while in detention was fair and the police obliged his requests for medicine and prayer mats.
