I don&#039;t think so. If it was a matter of votes ony, the Government woud have given up on this one a long time ago. A recent opinion poll cited by a TV channe suggested popuar sentiment is 4:1 against.

I fear this is really about protecting officially-sanctioned myths and discriminating against dissent threatening the most powerful bullies in western society. In other words, the utimate goal of those pushing the legisation is poitical censorship. Child protection is window-dressing.
