It was a work around I think. Also, I don't know, but I seem to have read one article that said that the youtube block was lifted. By the way, I have been visiting <a href="http://emmaacademyproject.com/" rel="nofollow">The Emma Academy Project</a> and the videos there are also connected to youtube, I hope that the youtube block is lifted though.
